This week, I chose to prepare my sister’s all-time favorite cake: the Vegan Chocolate Cake which excludes of course products of animal origins and has a rich cocoa taste. It tastes even better than a conventional cake. This successful recipe has been running through our family since ages and I learnt it from my grandmother. We always find an opportunity to bake it, whether it is for a birthday or for breakfast.

Ingredients
- 3/4 cupOil
- 2 cupsSugar
- 2 cupsWater
- 3 spoonsVinegar
- 6 spoonsCocoa Powder
- 1 pinchSalt
- 1 pinchVanilla
- 3.5 cupsFlour
- 2 teaspoonsBaking Powder
Preparation of the Vegan Chocolate Cake
Start by preheating your oven at 180°C.
To prepare the Vegan Chocolate Cake, start by mixing together all of the dry ingredients in a big bowl: flour, cocoa powder, salt, vanilla and baking powder.
Afterwards, start pouring water in small quantities onto the dry ingredients while mixing well with a whisk or a mixer in order to dissolve lumps and incorporate all ingredients together.
Finally, pour the remaining ingredients over the chocolate mixture: the oil and the vinegar and whisk them altogether.
Transfer the mixture into a buttered and floured cake mold and bake at 180°C for 40 minutes or until a toothpick or a knife comes out clean.
