La Cima Restaurant in Massa

La Cima Restaurant in Massa

This weekend, I had the pleasure of having lunch in La Cima Restaurant in Massa, also known by Azienda Agricola Cima meaning an agricultural company.

Location of La Cima Restaurant

The restaurant is located on a hill in the town of Massa in Tuscany in which owners of the restaurant produce their own wine. In fact, it has a breathtaking view over their own vineyards.

Furthermore, the restaurant can be visited in winter as well as in summer. Actually, inside you can find a lovely fireplace keeping clients warm. However, during summer, the restaurant has a lovely terrace outside to enjoy the hot weather which also overlooks a beautiful scenery.

Culinary Experience

At our arrival, we have been greeted with the menus as well as a basket of bread.

La Cima’s Basket of Bread

To start with, we chose 2 appetizers accompanied by their local tuscan SanGiovese wine of course:

  • Beef Tartar served with a special sauce and some dijon grains
  • Culatello (a kind of cold cut) served with toasted bread and butter

As primo, we chose a dish of traditional Tordelli alla Massese: pasta filled with meat and served with meat ragù. In addition, we ordered Lasagnette ai Porcini: green pasta served with white sauce and porcini mushrooms.

Finally, as a main dish, called in Italian Secondo, we ordered the famous Tagliata which is a delicious beef steak served with roasted potatoes as a side dish.

Last but not least, comes the dessert. We ordered 4 tasty, drooly desserts:

  • Apple Strudel served with Vanilla Ice Cream
  • Vanilla Ice Cream with berries
  • Tiramisù
  • Chocolate Fondant served with Vanilla Ice Cream

I hope you enjoyed La Cima Restaurant in Massa and hope you’ll visit it someday. For more magical locations and delicious food and recipes, visit the rest of my blog and follow me on social media, links below and on your right.
