The first time I heard about the Peach Cobbler was while I was watching the Netflix serie “New Girl”. In fact, Schmidt, one of the main characters of the serie prepared a Peach Cobbler and burnt himself while eating it. Obviously, I couldn’t continue the serie without knowing what the Peach Cobbler is about. And this is when I fell in love with this dessert. I hope you will too once you check out my recipe. Don’t believe me? Try it for yourself.

Ingredients
- 650 mlcanned peaches (with their syrup)
- 2 spoonsbutter
- 1 cupflour
- 1 cupsugar
- 1 cupmilk
- 2 teaspoonsbaking powder
- 1 pinchbrown sugar
- 1 pinchcinnamon powder
- somevanilla ice cream (for serving)
Preparation of the Peach Cobbler
To start the preparation of the Peach Cobbler, preheat your oven at 180°C.
In a cake mold or a baking tray, place the 2 spoons of butter and place the tray in the oven until butter is melted.
Don’t let the butter burn!!! Remove it once melted.
Meanwhile, pour the canned peaches along with their syrup into a small saucepan and bring to a boil.
While the butter is in the oven and the peaches on the stove, proceed to the batter by mixing with a whisk: the sugar, the flour the milk and the baking powder.
Pour the cake batter over the melted butter WITHOUT mixing both ingredients.
Drain the peaches from their syrup and spread them all over the batter.
Finally, sprinkle some brown sugar and some cinnamon on top and bake at 180°C for 30 minutes or until a toothpick or a knife comes out clean.
Once done, let the Peach Cobbler cool and serve it with vanilla ice cream.
You do not need to unmold it.
I’ve never been entirely sure what a cobbler was despite it being something you hear about a lot (okay, on TV, but still!). This looks absolutely delicious and sounds like it’s quite easy to bake. One I’ll be bookmarking for later – thank you!
