Orange Cake

This time of the year is perfect to prepare an Orange Cake. A great source of vitamin C, oranges are the most fresh during the winter season.

As usual, this is a family recipe, and I would love to share it with you guys. I hope you like it.

  • 3eggs
  • 1 cupoil
  • 1 cuporange juice
  • 2 cupssugar
  • 3 cupsflour
  • 4 teaspoonsbaking powder
  • 1 pinchvanilla

Preparation of the Orange Cake

  1. First of all, start by preheating your oven to 180°C.

  2. Then, in big bowl, pour the eggs and the sugar and mix them using a hand mixer or a stand mixer until they become creamy and light colored.

  3. Add the liquid ingredients: the orange juice and the oil and keep mixing until fully incorporated.

  4. Finally, add the the flour, the vanilla and the baking powder and mix again until you have a uniform creamy mixture.

  5. Align some parchment paper in a cake mold and pour down the mixture.

    Bake the orange cake for 30-35 minutes approximately or until a knife or a toothpick comes out clean.

– The Orange Cake can be conserved for about a week in a closed container or at least covered so it does not dry out.
