In my opinion, French Crêpes are the most versatile kind of food in the world. They can be combined with either sweet or savory ingredients, from a Nutella crêpe to a ham and cheese one. It doesn’t end here. You can have them for breakfast, lunch or dinner and even in between. With just 4 ingredients, you’ll have your delicious Crêpes ready to be devoured.

Ingredients

- 2 cupsFlour
- 1/2 cupOil
- 1.5 cupsMilk
- 4Eggs
Preparation of the Crêpes
In a big bowl, start by beating the eggs with a whisk. Then add to the bowl, the milk and the oil and mix well.
Then, start sifting the flour into the bowl little by little while mixing in order to avoid lumps. Keep whisking until ingredients are well incorporated.
Proceed by brushing a medium sized pan with oil. Preheat it for a few seconds over medium-low heat. Then, using a ladle, remove the crêpe mixture and place it in the middle of the pan. Holding the handle of the pan, make circular movements to distribute the mixture all over the pan.
Fry each side of the crêpe for a few minutes, or until it gets its color : yellow with brown dots.
Proceed the same way with the remaining prepared mixture.
You can fill the crêpes right away while in the pan, or transfer them to a plate if you wish to consume them later on.

Advice
– Crêpes are best enjoyed when they are fresh. However, you can conserve them covered in the fridge for a couple of days maximum.
– Should you wish to fill them with savory ingredients, I would advise you to add a pinch of salt to the mixture.
I hope you enjoyed the Crêpes recipe.

Hi Jessica. Those crepes sound delicious. Out of interest, what are your favourite fillings?
Well this is an interesting question.
I always start with a Ham & Cheese crepe and finish with a Nutella one.
