Chocolate Chip Banana Cake

There is no better combination than chocolate and banana together. Am I right? Therefore, I have put them together in one amazingly delicous Chocolate Chip Banana Cake.

Ingredients

  • 2Eggs
  • 1.5 cupsSugar
  • 1/2 cupsOil
  • 3Bananas (Mashed with a fork)
  • 1/2 cupMilk
  • 1 pinchVanilla
  • 2.5 cupsFlour
  • 2 teaspoonsBaking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoonSalt
  • 1 cupChocolate Chips (Plus few extra chips to decorate)

Preparation of the Chocolate Chip Banana Cake

  1. To prepare the cake, start by preheating your oven at 180Β°C.

  2. In a large bowl, beat the eggs with a whisk. Then add the sugar, the oil and the milk and mix the ingredients well together.

  3. Sift into the bowl the flour, the baking powder and the vanilla. Whisk the overall ingredients together until uniform.

  4. Finally, add to the mixture the pinch of salt, the mashed bananas and the chocolate chips. Mix them well together using a spatula.

  5. Transfer the mixture into a buttered and floured cake mold. Add a few chocolate chip on the top of the mixture to further decorate the cake, and bake in the oven at 180Β°C for about 30 minutes or until a fork or toothpick comes out clean.



Advice

– For extra tastiness, spread some chocolate cream (e.g. Nutella) on your piece of cake and enjoy.

– For a healthier version of the cake, you can replace the Chocolate Chips with Walnuts.

– If you’d like to intensify the taste of the bananas, you may add a couple of mashed ones to the mixture.

– The Chocolate Chip Banana Cake can be conserved covered for a maximum of 5 days.
